What to do if LED solar street lights can't shine on the sun

Solar street lights have been replaced in the community, which not only saves energy but also makes the night of the community brighter. It was a good thing, but the residents complained. The newly replaced solar street lights only work for two or three hours a day because they 'can't see' the sun, and they can't play the expected lighting role at all.

Recently, Ms. Zhang, a resident who lives in a community in Jingxiu District, reported that solar street lights were replaced in the community, but one of the street lights only worked for two to three hours a day because they could not receive sunlight.

When I came to the community, under the leadership of Ms. Zhang, I went to the 3rd gate of Building 31. The street lamp that could not receive solar energy was directly opposite the gate of the building. The lamp pole is about three to four meters high, and the soil around the base looks relatively new, as if it has just been constructed. There is a square solar panel on the head of the street lamp. The reporter arrived at about 11:00 in the morning, close to the time of the day when the sun was at its highest. However, at this time, the sunlight shining on the street lamp pole was blocked by Building 31, and the sunlight could only obliquely hit the windows on the first floor of the residential building about five meters behind the lamp pole.

Mr. Liu, a resident of the community, told that under good weather conditions, this street lamp can only receive sunlight for about an hour. The street lights are turned on at around 5 o'clock in the afternoon every day, and it goes dark at around 8 o'clock that night. Mainly because the sunlight is blocked by the building, if the street light pole is moved back to the door of the residential building, it will be no problem. In the winter of previous years, the road surface around the base of the street light pole could not melt for ten and a half months after freezing.

The other street lamp outside Building 30 has a similar situation. The reporter then saw outside Building 30 that solar street lights were installed between Buildings 30 and 31, and the sunlight was blocked by the buildings. Ms. Wang from Building 30 told that the street lamp next to it has become a display, not as good as the old-fashioned street lamp before. It may be that the street lights are not high enough to reach the sun.

Contacted the neighborhood committee of the community, and the staff said that the previous street lights were relatively old. In order not to affect the normal lighting, the solar street lights have been replaced recently. The residents' committee staff will investigate the situation on the spot, and if the normal lighting of the residents is affected, relevant measures will be taken to adjust.
