What is the difference between cold galvanizing and hot galvanizing of street light poles-solar street light manufacturers

The purpose of cold galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing of solar street light poles is to prevent corrosion and prolong the service life of street light fixtures, but compared to cold galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing can achieve the purpose of anti-corrosion.

First, the process difference:

Cold galvanizing is also called electro-galvanizing. It uses electrolysis equipment to degreasing and pickling the workpiece and put it into a solution of zinc salt, and connect it to the negative electrode of the electrolysis device. Place a zinc plate on the opposite side of the workpiece and connect it to The positive electrode of the electrolysis equipment is connected to the power source and the current is moved from the positive electrode to the negative electrode to deposit a layer of zinc on the workpiece;

Hot-dip galvanizing is to immerse the workpiece in the molten zinc solution for a certain period of time after degreasing, pickling, dipping, and drying.

The difference in appearance:

The appearance of electro-galvanized zinc is smooth and bright, and the electroplated layer using color passivation process is also yellow-green as the main color, which is colorful. The electroplated layer using the white passivation process is bluish white or white with green light, and the electroplating layer of the white passivation process is slightly colorful when it is at a certain angle with the sunlight. The corners of complex workpieces are prone to 'electric burning' and become grayish, where the zinc layer is thicker. The current dead angle is easy to form in the negative corner and the undercurrent gray area is generated, and the zinc layer in this area is relatively thin. There is no zinc tumor or agglomeration on the whole workpiece.

The appearance of hot-dip galvanizing is slightly rougher than that of electro-galvanizing, and it is silver-white. The appearance is prone to process water lines and a few drippings, especially at one end of the workpiece. However, the zinc layer of hot-dip galvanizing is dozens of times thicker than electro-galvanized, and its anti-corrosion performance is dozens of times that of electro-galvanizing.
