The principle of solar light When sunlight shines on the solar cell array, it is converted into electrical energy; the current is passed through the diode and sent to the rechargeable battery and the light bulb flash device at the same time. In the daytime, that is, under the condition of illumination, the flashing device is powered by the charged electric energy; at night, that is, after the illumination is stopped, the electric energy stored in the flashing device is used for power supply. The device stops working only when there is no light for a long time so that the power in the battery runs out. An ordinary light-emitting diode (LED) is controlled by the integrated circuit LM3909. In the LM3909 there is all the circuitry required to repeatedly turn on and off the developing diode. The 220µF capacitor is the timing capacitor for the blinking of the LEDs. A simpler flashing device can be constructed with CQX21 flashing light-emitting diodes, and all the components required for flashing are completely placed inside the light-emitting diodes. CQX21 replaces LM3909, capacitor and LED. In short, the electrical energy generated when sunlight hits the solar cell supplies the circuit to work. And if the rechargeable NiCd battery is removed from the circuit, the device will only work when sunlight or light hits the battery. On the other hand, if you just want to be powered by the battery, just get rid of the solar cells and diodes. LEDs are available in any size and color of your choice. Up to 12 flash units can be connected between the diode and the battery.
