LED performance indicators are the core part of the entire LED. Only by understanding its performance indicators can you have a deep understanding of LEDs. It is something that you must understand when entering the LED industry.

1. The color of LED: The color of LED is an important indicator, and every LED related lighting product must be marked. At present, the colors of LED are mainly white, red, green, blue, yellow, and warm white. Wait for the color, when we design and take orders, this cannibalization must not be forgotten, because the color is different, the related parameters also have great changes.

2. LED current: The forward limit (IF) current of the LED is hidden at 20MA, and the luminous decay current of the LED cannot be greater than IF/3, about 15MA and 18MA. The luminous intensity of LED is only proportional to IF within a certain range. When it is >20MA, the enhancement of brightness cannot be distinguished by naked eyes. Therefore, it is reasonable to choose the working current of LED around 17-19MA. . The previous ones are for ordinary low-power LEDs (0.04-0.08w), except for some piranha LEDs. With the continuous development of technology, high-power LEDs continue to appear such as 0.5W LED (IFu003d150MA), 1W LED (IFu003d350MA), 3W LED (IFu003d750MA), and other more specifications.

3. LED voltage: what we usually say is the forward voltage of the LED, that is, the positive pole of the LED is the positive pole of the power supply, and the negative pole is connected to the negative pole of the power supply. The voltage is related to the color. The voltage of red, yellow, and yellow-green is between 1.8-2.4V, and the voltage of white, blue, and emerald green is between 3.0-3.6V. There may be some differences in the voltage of the same batch of LEDs. According to the manufacturer’s offer. When the outside temperature rises, VF will drop.

4. LED reverse voltage VRm: the maximum allowable reverse voltage, exceeding this value, the light-emitting diode may be damaged by breakdown.

5. LED color temperature: expressed in absolute temperature K, that is, a standard black body is heated, and the temperature rises to a certain level in Chengdu, and the color starts to change gradually from dark red to light red to orange to white to blue. When the color of the light source and the black body are the same, we take the absolute temperature of the black body at that time as the color temperature of the light source.
